"Melting" is a set of improvisations I recorded live in the studio on 2/21/21. A second lead track was added to four of the pieces a month later. Melting has a two-fold meaning. It is a science fiction invasion story; but it is also a reflective human viewpoint about things we know and believe eventually coming to an end. It is about transcending this realm when we physically die, but it is also about transformation while alive in this world. Intense transformation often requires us to shed much of our skin, and in this process provides the nutrients for true growth.
